CAMP DAVID

Writer:
Richard Cordiner

Project Overview

The story takes an off-center approach to the historic Camp David Accords in 1978, capturing all the “absurdities” that occurred within the 13 days of negotiations between the United States, Israel, and Egypt to reach the first peace accord between Arab and Jew. Only a desperate US President would consider making peace in this environment – bringing together two sworn enemies still recovering from a devastating war - to a summer camp retreat filled with chess, movies, tennis, and long walks at sunset.
